Christmas

We finally got our Christmas tree and the lights on the house up. This year we supported the local boy scouts and bought a tree from them. (I must ay it might be our best tree yet.)

Wentzle did the Dew.

W got his first experience with the mountain today. We took the bus to town and road he gondola up to see the Dew tour. (Lately he has had an obsession with boards-skate, snow, etc) It was a beautiful day for our trip.

W had a great spot to watch the riders in the pipe.

Here is a pic of Carlin and I, W got cut off. (I guess Carlin will have to work on his position with the camera)

W eating lunch. (he was starving after a long day of hittin' the slopes) He really enjoyed being outside watching all of the people with "boards" go by.

Sick Days...

Wentzle spent the last week at home, sick. This has been the first time Went has been out of school all week. As of now, he has only missed school for an ear ache (antibiotics are not great on little systems), an ER visit (first time having PB did not go well) and a couple of days due to a fever from teething. We have been pretty lucky. I hope we stay that way.

Here are a few pics from his time at home. He seemed to enjoy himself.

I guess his noise must be the source of the his sickness.

W just chillin'. (it's so rough to be sick)

Going to the Park

W getting ready to go to the park. (gotta make sure to protect the eyes in sunny Colorado)

W at the park.... getting ready to "jump". (he is really into "jumping" off of things)

Daddy's Shoes

W has taken to wearing our shoes. He even is pretty good with walking around in them.

Popcorn & a Movie

W loves the classics... popcorn and a movie (for about 20 minutes). He loves his bestfriend "Bob".

Beautiful day for a walk.

It finally snowed enough for us to bring out the sled. W really likes going on walks in the sled.

Lighting of Breckenridge

We recently went to the Lighting of Breckenridge, a new family tradition. W had more fun playing on the "playground" than watching the lighting.

We ran into W's friend, Carter. They had fun playing in the wagon.

Grandma & Grandpa Shotts joined us.

Are you ready for some Football?

Wentzle is!

Makin' Popcorn

W loves his popcorn! (actually, he loves making popcorn) Here is a video of him making "popcorn".

Caddy

W was lucky enough to get to upgrade from a "Fiesta" (a diaper box) to a "Caddy" (a wagon box). It was complete with a bucket seat, doors, steering wheel and even a spoiler.
(it recently was sent to the recycle center-too big for our little house)

Halloween, Part 2

The fun really started when we got home. W got to go through all of his loot. He was pretty happy. (He really liked the Swedish Fish, Dum Dum Suckers and his all time fav - M&Ms)

W got a snack size bag of gold fishies in his pumpkin and thought they were soo much better than the ones that come in the big bag.

W really liked
Daddy's mask.

Halloween, Part 1

Wentzle went as a dragon for Halloween this year. We hit up both the Wellington Neighborhood (where we live) and High Street (which has been going on forever). W liked getting candy, but was a little shy at the door.

Carlin also wanted to get dressed up.

Fam Pics

We took a hike yesterday and it was beautiful.

Visit with the Grandparents

Wentlze recently had a visit with both sets of Grandparents. What a lucky boy! He had a blast.
Of course it dumped the entire time we were in the front range. (they got about 18", Breck only got 6") W had fun playing in the snow.

Winter is here...

It snowed a couple of weekends ago and Wentzle got out to test his new snowpants.
He didn't have boots yet, so he wore his galoshes. (which made it a little difficult to walk)

Silly Boy

What can I say, the boy loves his pasta.

Beep Beep

Along with bikes, Wentzle loves cars. He calls all motorized vehicles (boats, cars, pretty much anything with a steering wheel) Beep Beeps. So, Carlin made him a car out of diaper boxes (which we have no shortage of). I guess he wears his helmet to be safe while driving so fast in his cardboard car. He even likes to use real keys to "start" his car.

Play "room"

We really don't have any room, so we have made Wentle a play area in the corner of the living room. He doesn't seem to mind. Here he is working on his coloring skills.
