bike ride

C's vacation officially started on Sunday, but we started enjoying ourselves on Saturday.  We took a little family ride around the hood.  This was Zeph's first time in the trailer.  He seemed to enjoy.  We hope to bike to town a lot this summer, if we can get W to ride his own bike.  (There is a pretty big hill that you have to ride up to get back to the house from town.  We will try and I am sure fail a couple of times and succeed a few more, it's all in how we present it to W)

W posing by the creek.  He likes to make this a pit stop on his ride through the hood.

Zeph's first experience with the creek.  It was a bit cold for his liking.

rad

W doing "tricks" on his scooter.  The neighbor had his skateboard jump out the other day and W rode over it a few times (with the help of daddy).  He thought he was so rad.

It's been really neat to watch W grow up in the hood we live in.  Since it's all locals, there are a lot of kids and he can play (safely) on the green or in the alley.  It will be fun next summer, when Zeph is able to join him.

breakfast in bed

The boys had breakfast (which consisted of cheerios) in bed this morning.
They thoroughly enjoyed.

sushi

We found ourselves craving sushi once again.  It's so hard to stay away when they are offering 50% off!  W has started to really enjoy sushi. As far as Zeph goes, he just wants to have whatever we are eating.  And we just can't get enough.  Aunt Linds also works there, so the kids get special treatment.

legos

W's lego robot.
The duplos came out of retirement this last weekend.  W is stoked.

movie credits

Here is video of W showing his dancing skills once more.  He seems to have made this a regular occurrence.  As soon as the movie ends, he starts dancing (especially when the camera comes out).
We really enjoyed how his moves changed when the music did.

inch worm

Zeph has started to move.  It's not pretty, but he is attempting to get around on his own, which is good and bad.  I think he may be one of those babies that gets into things.  Only time will tell.  As of right now, he seems to enjoy the hardwood floors over the carpet.  It allows him to plant his hands and pull his body behind him.
It is fun for us to watch.  We will see how much Zed likes it.

indoor camping

Since we did not go camping last weekend (due to the snow & rain) and W was disappointed, we set up the tent inside.  Which was quite a feat (considering we do not have an empty 7x7 space in our house).  We made it work, some furniture was moved and the tent went up.  W watched a movie, had popcorn and even slept in it overnight.  He was stoked (as you can see from the photos).  We can't wait to see how he reacts to sleeping in the popup (which is only 8 days away!)

i can't hear you

This was one of my favorite photos of W when he was a baby.  He was around 6 months.  We made a half ass attempt to recreate with Zeph (3 months too late).  It's interesting to see how different they look.

Here are a couple more photos of the boys wearing the head phones and eating.

real steel

We watched the movie Real Steel recently and W loved the robots (not so big on the talking parts, but the robots were cool).  We took a couple of videos of W watching the "big fight" towards the end (spoiler alert).  I am posting 2 (of the 6 videos) we made that night, there is a mix of fighting, cheering and dancing (someday I will take the time to figure out how to edit the video footage we take together).
We hope you enjoy as much as we did.

sleeping babe

So peaceful.

poser

Look, we have a model on our hands.
W really likes his hat "that the Easter Bunny brought him" and his new sunglasses.

Zeph also got some new sunglasses.  Pretty stylin boys.

bowling

W went to his friend Cole's 5th birthday party a couple of weeks ago (once again, I am finding myself behind with my posts).  The party was at One Ski Hill Place, which happens to have a private bowling alley (click here if you want to find out more about this luxurious property that was just built at the base of Peak 8).  This was W's first time bowling, if you can call what he did bowling.  He had a blast as did the other kids.

The kids would take turns (sometimes) rolling or throwing the ball down the alley.  Then they would run down along side the alley and watch the ball (hopefully) knock down the pins.  It was awesome to watch.  W slept well that night.  I guess we will have to plan some bowling outings in the future.
