Baking Cookies

W made cookies with Daddy yesterday.  W has not been feeling great, he has pink eye.  

Carlin is starting early with teaching Zeph the secrets of a great baker.

Snow, finally!

We finally got some snow to play in.  It's been a pretty dry year, especially compared to last year's record snow fall.  W and I had some fun, we made a snow man and went on a slide ride around the hood. 

Big Boy Crib

We got a "new" crib for Zeph (our neighbors were getting rid of theirs and it matched perfectly with W's bunk bed).  Zeph has been taking naps in it.  We are still working on his sleeping at night (he did sleep through the night last night, but he is not consistent). 

Hungry?

Zeph has discovered his feet.  He can actually can get his toes into his mouth without any help.  I guess he is hungry. 

Skiing

W finally got his first turns of the season this weekend.  G-ma & G-pa Shotts came up to witness.  G-pa Shotts actually did a couple of runs with W.  

We took the bus from our house.

Then rode the gondola to Peak 8.  W is a pro at riding the gondola.

 

I was not able to get pics of W actually making turns, there is really no place to be at the bottom of the chair if you are not skiing (and I had Zeph strapped to me).  W was lucky, it actually snowed.  We have been a bit dry this season.

 

 W did 3 rides on the chair (his first time) and 3 runs.  Carlin was on skis for the first time in almost 15 years.  He had so much fun, he may be getting a pair at the end of the season so that he and W can ski together.

The reward for a hard day of skiing... warm cocoa with extra whipped cream and snacks.

We ended the night with teppanyaki at Nozawa.  W loved the show. 

Eating

Zeph tried cereal for the first time on Saturday.  He liked it, a lot!  It was hard to keep his little grubby hands off the spoon.  He would grab that and the bowl and not let go. 

New Years Eve

New Year's eve was pretty uneventful this year.  We had homemade pizza for dinner and then W and I stayed up to watch the ball drop at 10 pm (Colorado time).  C and Zeph didn't make it.  Maybe next year.
