Where to start...
I guess I will start with how our life came to be what it is today. Carlin and I met in Denver, working at a coffee shop. Our first date was Warp Tour, 8 years ago. We got married in 2005 in Negril, Jamaica. We got full-time, "real" jobs and have been living in the same town for about 6 years now. We adopted two furbabies, Zoey (black lab) and Zed (mini dachshund/toy manchester terrier). We even have health insurance. With all of these hurdles, nothing that could really tie us down. That all changed about a year ago when our journey to a responsible adulthood started. I would have to say it really didn't hit until April 14th at about 6:33pm at St. Antony's Hospital. Yes, I can pin point it to an exact time and place. Our son, Wentzle George Shotts arrived, two weeks early. (a little bit of a surprise to both of us.) Since then, life has completely changed for us. We are now parents and responsible for the well being of a child. (we hope we do not screw him up too bad.) It is such an amazing experience. We are also buying a house, which I didn't think we would ever be able to do in this town. "Affordable" housing starts at about $300,000. (not exactly our idea of a first home price tag.)

I love reading your blog, you had me laughing! I am so proud of you for doing this, you are such an amazing daughter-in-law. Now, we have to figure out how to get Carlin to participate.
Wentzle will survive day care just find, I know because he has two parents that love him more than life, and that is all that matters.
Well I think the Shotts family Blog is great! Anytime I can see a picture of Wentlze it's a bonus. Forced me to get into the blogging thing as well ;)
