Allergies

We finally took W to an allergist. At his 3 year old check up, our doctor made it clear that W's peanut allergy could get worse and we needed to get an epi-pen. Not what we expected. So, we made the appointment to do a scratch test. We were hoping to avoid doing this to W, but he was a trooper.

W had to "blow" out candles on a computer screen. He didn't really like the nose plug, but it was too cute.

W got to watch Cars while he "cooked" as the nurse put it.
All of the different things they tested him for, he was very curious. It was
hard to keep him from itching.

Because the first t
est for peanuts did not yield a positive result, they had to test again. W watched Scooby Doo on YouTube.

In the
end, W does have an allergy to peanuts, which we knew. The dr was not able to tell us if that extents to all other nuts, we have to "test" that on our own. In the past we have been able to just give W benedryl for any contact with peanuts, but the dr prescribed an epi-pen, just in case. W also has allergies to grass and slight issues with corn & soy.
