C and I recently got a weekend in Beaver Creek, without kids. It must say, it was great. We had forgotten what it is like to not have kids and to sleep more than 3 or 4 hours in a row (in a very comfy bed). C received this weekend getaway to the Ritz-Carlton for being a member of the Chairman's Club at Sysco. Besides getting much needed rest, I had some spa time. This experience will definitely effect all future vacations we take.
The valets are cowboys, he gave us a cowboy hat for W (which he loved).
We took a nice hike to the top of the chair lift that was right out the doors from the hotel. We had beautiful weather and the aspens were changing.
There are a bunch of "cabins" all over Beaver Creek. We passed Trappers, which comes with a chef, concierge, hot tub just to name a few of the amenities. I guess that is what people that vaca to the area think is roughing it. The huts in our area you pack in and out.
