corn on the cob

Zeph had corn on the cob for the first time this summer.  He loved it!
He is a big fan of doing things himself and eating whatever you are eating.

Don't be fooled, he did not eat the entire ear that is in some of these photos.

He did get this ear to himself.  He got upset when we tried to help him.

kidtopia summer edition 2

We headed to Kidtopia, again, this past weekend.  The activities were all the same, so W picked just a few to wait for.  Once again, waiting in line seemed to be one of the activities you got to participate in.

W getting his "tatoo".  This little old couple has quiet a set up.  The guy gets the stencil and his wife airbrushes.  W choose a bat.

W always gets a balloon sculpture.  This time he got a sword and belt.

W giving a buck to the copper cowboy.

Riding the train.
It's a bit scary.  I think the train runs on a lawn mower motor and bottoms out easily.

Super W!

going to the dentist

W went to the dentist with C for the first time in August.  I know, he should have probably gone earlier, but we wanted to make sure that W was ready so that he would want to go back.  He has had a few experiences at school with dental people and they have not always gone well. He had fun and got a toothbrush, toothpaste, special kid flossers and a toy he got to pick out himself.  So, I guess we could say that our mission was accomplished!

kidtopia - summer edition

Summer Kidtopia has started!
(not as fun as the winter version, but fun enough to check out).
The main activity for summer Kidtopia, is waiting in lines, not really fun for kids, really not fun for parents.  We did meet up with the Haser clan, which is always fun.

Balloon artist.  W got a Spiderman.

(Free) bouncy castle!

Copper Cowboy.  W was too afraid to go up and give him a dollar.

Being artsy with Ripparoo.

W always likes to stop by Ripparoo's Dog House.

Skateboard (in the winter it's a snowboard).

Watching the entertainment, which was pretty neat.

It was hot (for the mountains), lucky Z gets to stay cool in the shade.

More entertainment.

Having some lunch at Kickapoo (they have a sweet deck).

Checking out the playground.
Spiderman did not make it home.  It was hot enough that he slowly popped.

We did a little gold panning.  W was really into it.
It was fun, but not fun enough to spend $9 for a bag of "gems".

Z was really into trying to get his entire body into the sluice box.

We can wait for winter Kidtopia!
